Upcoming Tiamat Slayer Event

Posted to the Aion site earlier this week, news about an upcoming event for the incoming 3.5 patch next week! :)

Defeating Tiamat will be no easy feat, but those who manage to accomplish the task may walk away rewarded in the Tiamat Slayer Event! There are two components to this event:

Tiamat’s Welcomers

The first alliance (12 members) to successfully defeat Tiamat will hold the honor of receiving the Dragonsbane title, signifying to all that they were the first to ‘welcome’ Tiamat to the NA Aion servers!

The Dragonsbane title lasts 15 days, and grants HP +100, Attack +3, Speed +5%, and Magic Boost +15!

Note that the first alliance to defeat Tiamat does not need to participate in the Tiamat Slayer Guide portion of the event to win their prize, although they are encouraged to do so!

Tiamat Slayer Guide Contest

Facing Tiamat will take skill, cunning, and a sound plan of attack, and we’ll leave it up to YOU to show your strategy to your fellow players!

Alliances will have from October 10 to October 24 to defeat Tiamat and create a How-To guide, including a video, on how to defeat the Dragon Lord Sanctuary instance from beginning to end! Important things to include would be which classes your alliance used, items you brought, and how to deal with each boss and mini-boss’s skills! The How-To Guide will be judged on your presentation, composition, completeness of the guide, and clarity. The guide should be detailed and easy to understand! If you would like to submit your guide to Nyx in advance of making the official entry, she will be happy to give feedback on it. (Nyx@ncsoft.com)

The alliance with the best guide will be handsomely rewarded, as all eligible participants will receive an Eternal Grade Tiamat weapon of their choice!

Eligible members of five alliances who create outstanding How-To guides (including videos!) will receive the permanent “Dragon Slayer” title, which confers all benefits of the Dragonsbane title!
